Native Tab Grouping / More Customizable Tab bar

I'm personally a heavy tab user but have always wondered why there is almost no support for tab grouping or customization in the native tab bar in Firefox.

I think making it able to group like Google Chrome does for example or at least giving more access for extensions and add-ons would significantly improve the UI in that regard.

I think firefox should group tabs.

it's sometimes difficult to track multiple tabs in which you are working on. Just look at chrome ( you can group tabs with colors) and save or hide them. )

i think firefox can do better! please bring this feature as soon as possible.

Enhancing Firefox for Desktop: Tab Grouping and TTS Improvements Needed

Firefox for desktop has some room for improvement. While it offers a simple UI, customization options, and better privacy than many browsers, it lacks essential features like tab grouping and built-in text-to-speech (TTS). However,however the Android app version of Firefox remains impressive.

Let’s hope Mozilla addresses these missing features soon!

I do not know if there are some requests and the developers are looking here for ideas and suggestions, but I would love if it will be possible to pause and release resourses from the groups that are innactive.

we need

1. tab groups.
2. mobile Firefox to remember bookmarks folder open position. because bookmark in mobile end has too many layers.
3. tab sleep like edge.
4. quickly ignore all extend script in debug

I am trying to switch default browsers from Chrome, but tab grouping was the very first thing I see that is lacking in Firefox. I know this feature hasn't been around for a super long time, but it is a huge benefit that makes me wonder why Edge and Chrome came out with this and Firefox is so far behind. If Firefox is going to be so far behind other browsers with major functionality improvements, it really doesn't seem worth it to switch browsers.

Funny thing is, Firefox was actually the first major browser to have this feature, YEARS ago --- then removed it. 

But at least now it's in the works and being added back in again. 
Brave is nice, but it's got some really annoying quirks.
