A primary benefit of using vertical tabs is maximization of vertical screen real estate. Currently, Firefox's implementation seems to retain the bar for OS screen controls in addition to the browser's toolbar. Merging these two bars, as Edge does, would be the next logical step as, in the current implementation, not much vertical space is gained by moving tabs to the the vertical layout.

I'm using the Zen Browser , that is a fork of firefox, and I think is better optimized in use of screen.

Hi @Wakkashamshay

Are you using the latest Nightly?

The window controls have been moved some weeks ago. Tthere's still some ongoing work around styling, but there's no longer a separate title bar in the vertical tabs mode. Here's how it looks in my Nightly.

Admittedly, I only use stable. I will check on nightly in future before submitting idea.

As it's already underway, this can be closed 😁

Thank you both for your kind words!

It's going to take a bit more time to get all this work released, but this is our primary focus for the next few months.
