Status: New idea

I’ve been using Firefox as my primary browser, and while I love its performance and privacy features, I’ve noticed it can be quite demanding on battery life, especially on laptops. It would be fantastic if Mozilla could introduce a dedicated 'Battery Saver' or 'Power Efficiency' mode in the settings. This could automatically limit background tab activity, reduce animation intensity, or throttle high-resource scripts when the device is running on battery. This addition would significantly improve the experience for mobile users and those who rely on Firefox while on the go.
