Status: New idea

Hi, I use Firefox all the time, and I noticed that the wallpapers were given an update of more choices for the user. That's good and all, but I began thinking about the widgets that are optional when customizing your default Firefox home/new tab. Weather, shortcuts, and stories. All very simple, rudimentary uses, but nothing for fun; like, say, a little Firefox fox that can live at the bottom of your home browser.

I have the idea of something akin to a Pou or a Tamagotchi that lives on the bottom of your home page with food on one side, bed in the middle, and a little hamster wheel on the other-other side. You could click on it, and it plays a little animation, or you can click and drag it to either activity previously mentioned and watch it play, eat, or sleep.

I've attached a mock-up image for a clear example.

I just think it'd be fun to have a more "silly" widget for customization on our home pages, all the while being entirely toggle-able like the other additions.

Thanks for reading.

P.S., Thank you to James from Mozilla Support for redirecting me here!

With love, Paytzilla

This feature sounds like something best handled in an add-on or extension rather than being bundled in a default installation
