Currently I have an HTML signature for my work account on Thunderbird desktop that contains some simple text formatting and a logo image, but pasting the same HTML into the signature setting in K-9 Mail just inserts the HTML as text into the email.

Additionally, an image signature would be perfect! I don't understand why it is so difficult to implement an HTML signature, since HTML emails are standard nowadays anyway. I like the Thunderbird app, otherwise I would have switched to an alternative.

There was an Guthub Issues #794 (and another Issues) about this topic back in 2015, but unfortunately it hasn't been implemented yet 😞

This is important and I hate it that I haven't found any mobile client that implements this

This is such an important feature.  I hope they get this added to the Thunderbird mobile.

Dear Thunderbird Development Team,

I am writing to request the addition of HTML signature formatting support in Thunderbird for Android.

As of the latest version 9.0, available on the Google Play Store, I have noticed that there is no option within the app's settings under "Manage Identities" or elsewhere to enable or configure HTML formatting for email signatures. Without this feature, users are unable to include links, images, or custom HTML formatting in their signatures, which is a critical functionality for many users, especially those managing professional or branded email communication.

Currently, it appears that the app only supports plain text signatures, and there is no clear method for incorporating HTML elements, such as formatting or media. It would be incredibly beneficial if Thunderbird for Android could include a simple way to toggle HTML formatting for signatures, similar to how this is handled in other email clients.

I believe this feature would greatly enhance the user experience, making Thunderbird a more powerful tool for professional communication on mobile devices.

Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to your feedback and hope to see this feature implemented in a future update.

Add HTML Signatures to Thunderbird Mobile

I'd like to propose a key improvement for Thunderbird Mobile: the ability to use HTML signatures. Many of us rely on professional email signatures that include logos, styled text, and social media links. Right now, the mobile app only allows for plain-text signatures, which forces us to send emails that look less professional and are inconsistent with our brand

My proposal is simple: let us create, edit, and sync HTML signatures on the mobile app. This would be a huge step towards making Thunderbird Mobile a more powerful and professional tool, providing a consistent experience across all devices. This feature would not only align the mobile app more closely with the desktop version but also significantly improve user satisfaction.
