I am extremely frustrated with a long-standing Firefox issue that makes professional work impossible. Every time I paste an image from the clipboard (Ctrl+V), Firefox renames it to a generic 'image.png'.

When trying to upload multiple screenshots at once to services like Google Gemini or Discord, they are flagged as duplicates, and the upload fails. My screenshot tools (ShareX, Flameshot) generate unique filenames, but Firefox intentionally strips them away.

Why is there no setting in about:config to allow unique naming (like timestamped names)? This 'feature' feels like a bug from 2005. Stop oversimplifying the browser at the expense of power users. Fix the clipboard filename handling or give us a preference to change it!

Please, the problem that Oleg just expressed is a huge problem for those who use Firefox. It is not acceptable. I hope someone is going to change this limit!

I fully agree with this. The impact on productivity is so severe that I was forced to switch to Google Chrome just because of this issue.

It is impossible for my workflow to manually click the "+" button to select files every time instead of simply using Ctrl+V.

To me, this is actually a bug, not just an "Idea", and it should be fixed as soon as possible.

I really want to use Firefox, but I won't come back until this clipboard filename handling is resolved.
