Mozilla, why don't you provide us with relevant information when prompting for an update?
I long for times back when the link was displayed

Seeing that a new feature exists, e.g. FF143 can show  "date" and "event" info (of what sort I can not imagine) in the address bar, is USELESS without telling me where to find how it works or, better yet, explaining RIGHT THERE in the releasae notes.

1.  what is shown?   I see nothing new in this regard.

2.  How do I enable/disable this?  (or can I even do so?)

Please don't suggest that I try something like using the FF HELP to search for say "date" or "event"!!!  That would be absurd.

Hello

https://www.firefox.com/en-US/firefox/143.0/releasenotes

The Firefox address bar can now show you important dates and events. This feature supports displaying events (e.g. “Mother’s Day”) in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Italy regions.

Take a look at https://www.camp-firefox.de/forum/thema/139836-mozilla-veröffentlicht-firefox-143/?postID=1279263#po...

@agenvirtuel

you provided nothing.  The first link is just to the information in the release notes that doesn't address my question.

the second link is in German, so I can't read it, and the photos therein don't tell me anything.  (besides which, I don't want to look at pictures to learn.  I want to read.)
