Hello, I both love and hate Mozilla. Why? Many people use various devices, different operating systems, and—not least—multiple instances of the same Mozilla browser. The synchronization of passwords and similar data is well implemented. However, my different browser instances offer different quick-access shortcuts every time.
PLEASE Synchronize the pinned shortcuts as well OR offer the user an option to do so. AND If you improve this feature: Please allow for more rows and columns for the PINNED SHORTCUTS. For example, 8x5 or more instead of 4x5. Take a look at the old Opera - that was a truly user-friendly solution. Until they removed it in a user-unfriendly move like you. I hate discovering, every time I launch an instance - whether on mobile or a different operating system - that my favorites have disappeared.
I grew so tired of waiting for a native solution to this issue that I fixed it myself. I've created MosaicSync, an extension that solves this exact problem in a clean, elegant way.
It synchronizes all your shortcuts using native Firefox Sync, meaning no extra logins or external accounts are required.
The add-on is 100% free and open-source: no ads, no telemetry, nothing tracking you.
It should be available on the Mozilla Add-ons store next week:
Have a look at the extension. I've spent so much time making it to solve this problem and get all your Shortcuts sync across all your firefox without even needing to create an account or register anything. Open source, Telemetry Free, no ads. Hope you like it!
