From what I've heard Firefox for desktop has a password generator, which is great, but firefox for mobile does not, even though the Lockwise app had it. I think password generation is very important, since not having to remember difficult passwords is the main perk of a password manager. googling for password generation on mobile is less convinient than on a desktop, so I wouldn't be surprised if people just don't do that. Adding password generation to mobile firefox would really improve my user experience 🙂

I missed this feature for years, but have found a workaround now. In iOS there is a Password App (from Apple).

  1. I browse is Firefox to the login page.
  2. On the password field I am offered the option to get the Password from Firefox or the Password-App. I choose the App.
  3. I can then generate a new password with Apple iOS.
  4. I go back the login. (Maybe after log in / log out)
  5. I select Password again and let it set the password it generated before.
  6. Now Firefox(!) asks me to store the password to which I agree.

Automatic password generation. No hassle with copy and paste. Only using the log in twice. Once Firefox has stored it, I can sync it and use it everywhere.
