Hello all,

I’m writing to request the addition of CSV password import functionality to Firefox for Android.

Currently, this feature is only available on desktop. While I personally have access to a desktop, I know many people who rely entirely on mobile devices—not only because of cost or availability, but also because that's the environment they're familiar with and confident using. For these users, shifting to desktop workflows for tasks like importing passwords isn't just inconvenient; it's exclusionary.

There's a growing gap between what mobile-first design promises and what mobile users are actually empowered to do. As more critical digital infrastructure (banking, healthcare, government services) requires secure login management, being unable to manage credentials fully on mobile becomes a barrier to access and digital autonomy. This is increasingly a class issue, where those without desktop access or literacy are quietly denied the full functionality of the web.

I believe Firefox could lead by example here. Offering full password import/export capabilities on mobile would be a small technical change with a big impact on digital inclusion.

Thanks for all your work—and for listening.

Kind regards,

Alex England
