Dear Firefox Mobile Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share feedback regarding the address bar placement options in Firefox for Android.
Currently, the "Address Bar Position" setting offers two choices: Top and Bottom. However, I noticed that when the "Show Tab Bar" option is enabled, the bottom address bar option becomes unavailable, with a note stating: "When the tab bar is displayed, the address bar must be at the top."
I would like to respectfully suggest that Firefox remove this restriction and allow users to place the address bar at the bottom even when the tab bar is shown. Many users, myself included, find the bottom address bar significantly more ergonomic and accessible on larger mobile devices, as it reduces the need to stretch the thumb to the top of the screen. Being able to combine the tab bar with a bottom address bar would offer the best of both worlds—easy tab management and comfortable one-handed navigation.
I understand there may be design or technical considerations behind the current limitation, but I believe enabling this flexibility would greatly improve the user experience and make Firefox even more competitive among mobile browsers.
Thank you for your time and for continuing to develop an excellent, user-focused browser. I would be happy to provide further feedback if needed.
