Hi Mozilla team,

I'm a system administrator at a company where Firefox is our standard browser.

On Windows, we currently use Firefox on more than 250 workstations and manage it through the Enterprise ADMX templates and Group Policy. That part works really well and is one of the reasons we like using Firefox.

We also have around 200 Android smartphones enrolled in an Enterprise MDM. Firefox is our preferred browser there as well.

The problem is that Firefox for Android can't be managed centrally through Android Enterprise AppConfig. Every new phone has to be configured manually, and after replacing or resetting a device, someone has to go through the same process again.

Besides being time-consuming, it's also easy to miss a setting or configure something differently. There's no simple way to verify that every managed device actually has the same configuration, which makes maintaining a consistent security baseline much harder than it should be.

It would be great if Firefox for Android supported Android Managed App Configuration (AppConfig), so MDM solutions like Sophos Mobile, Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE, and others could configure Firefox automatically.

Some examples of settings that would be really useful are:

* Homepage
* Managed bookmarks
* Disable or restrict add-ons
* Disable password saving
* DNS over HTTPS
* Enhanced Tracking Protection
* Download restrictions
* Other security-related browser settings

From an enterprise perspective, centralized management is often a key requirement when choosing software. We'd really like to keep using Firefox across all of our managed devices, but features like this are making browsers such as Chrome or Edge much easier to manage in a business environment. We'd honestly prefer not to switch—especially if it means moving to another Chromium-based browser.

I think adding AppConfig support would make Firefox much more attractive for companies that are already committed to using Firefox on the desktop.

Thanks for your time, and thanks for all the work you put into Firefox!
