Previous versions of TB allowed us to de-activate link-clicking. This option was removed a few versions back and I am still waiting (Patiently) for you to put it back.

It is VERY HARD to get companies (even MS, GG and other security co.s) to stop sending us links to "Click" on. This just makes it much easier for the bad guys because, unfortunately it can become a habitual reaction.  I found the ability to de-activate the link-clicking not just useful but a VERY IMPORTANT function for a email client!

Can't understand why you removed it???

I don't recall that option in settings - which version do you know had it? You can disable links this way:

- go to TB menu > Settings > General

- scroll all the way down and click the 'Config editor' button on the right

- click 'Accept the risk and continue'

- search for network.protocol-handler.external-default > change the value to false

Hey @KenF the above solution should work for you.   This will disable external link functionality, while allowing pdfs, chat, etc to remain functional.

I hope this helped you!

Feel free to comment if you need further assistance
