On desktop, you can set a default homepage, but on mobile we are forced to use the cluttered "launch" page or disable everything to get a blank page. We need a way to have our own homepage when app is launched or a new tab is opened.
They won't implement this. Probably because it would stop people using their crappy start page where they could an shoehorn sponsored rubbish that they get pennies for.
@benben not he last time I checked, about 8 months ago. I tried all the plugins I could find and came up with nothing. I considered forking but ended up switching to Vivaldi instead, which AFAIK is the only major Android browser that allows a custom new tab page.
Also I want them to implement the "chrome_url_overrides" feature for FF mobile. I need it for my extension to be available on mobile as well.
BTW, iceraven is a firefox fork that allows you to set any link as the homepage. Including "moz-extension://" pages. That's how I currently use my extension on mobile.
