Custom fonts break bold text and icons

Can you look into font formatting in Firefox when adding custom fonts? Some text that should be bold is rendering as regular weight, and some icons are showing up as text placeholders instead of the actual glyphs. It looks like a font or icon-font fallback issue rather than the page itself missing the styling. Chrome extensions already exist that work around this kind of rendering problem, so it would be useful if Firefox handled custom fonts more reliably on its own. Separately, please add an option to revert recent UI changes and keep the previous interface. The ongoing simplification is going too far, and not everyone wants the new layout forced on them.
