I recently took a look at the Firefox View "tab", and I could see the usefulness of a quick history list of closed tabs. However that's all it is since I don't wish to use this alongside my phone. However if this also had a drop-down for my currently open tabs and windows, to more easily visually see what I have open, I could see myself using it much more.

Currently there IS a tabs drop down on the top right-side of the window, however as a dropdown the text and icons are smaller, and you overall have less space to work with. If incorporated into Firefox View, you could remove the drop-down carrot, freeing up some of the space that the Firefox View icon takes up.

Pros:

  • More streamlined
  • Firefox View becomes more useful
  • Easier to browse and select open tabs/windows

Cons:

  • Adjustment period for older users
  • Need to integrate some search function into Firefox View
  • Less intuitive for new users if the new tab icon (+) remains on right side

(Surprise Pro: suspect users would learn to really appreciate new tabs forming on the left instead of the right)

Show currently open tabs in Firefox View

I find searching tabs with keyboard a bit clunky and the functionality obscure at the moment. I think having the option to show my current tabs in Firefox View and adding search tabs to Firefox View's address bar would be a good addition.

Firefox View's primary functionality currently is have quick access to tabs from other devices and recently closed tabs in a window. I'm used to clicking the firefox account to get the list of tabs on other devices and I usually keep tabs of interest open anyway. Thus Firefox View isn't that useful to me.

I see that there are tons of empty space still in the Firefox View and having a wider list than the List All Tabs dropdown menu will be nice. Maybe add a dedicated search tabs bar into Firefox View or an option to make Firefox View's address bar search tabs by default. An easy keyboard shortcut for firefox view/the search bar will then be the icing on the cake.

Forget about tab grouping, I would hardly need to care about tab organization if this was a feature.

I came here to suggest the same thing or similar.  The FireFox View feature has those two lists Tab Pickup and Recently Closed.  I've looked at it before, but never use it.  The Recently Closed duplicates something I use all the time through the history button.  But a similar drop-down listing of all open tabs would be extremely useful to me.  With that, I'd probably be in and out of FireFox View many times a day.  Sometimes many times an hour!

FireFox View has two lists: Tab Pickup and Recently Closed.  I don't use Tab Pickup and I use the history feature for recently closed tabs.  What would really be very useful to me is a third list: Currently Open Tabs.  I should look just like the Recently Closed list.  I would probably use that all of the time.  Like, many times per hour on some days.
