Create a theming API so users can make custom application styles without them breaking as frequently with updates.

The backlash to the new Firefox UI has got me thinking. Having a theming API (maybe similar to QT application styles) would be a massive boon to those that want control over the look of their computer. Firefox or Thunderbird themes that are able to change the size and shape of elements would not just be great for theming it would also be a really good accessibility feature since users could create themes specifically made to aid with specific visual impairments.
