I would like to suggest an option to close all regular Firefox windows at once while keeping Private Windows open.

For example, I may have several regular windows with tabs that I want Firefox to restore as my previous session, while keeping one or more Private Windows open for temporary work.
It would be useful to have an option such as “Close all regular windows” that would:

  • close all regular windows;
  • leave Private Windows open;
  • save the regular session so it can be restored with Restore Previous Session later.

This is especially useful when working with other applications that require a lot of RAM. A large number of regular browser tabs can consume significant system resources, so I may want to close that session temporarily while keeping my Private Windows open.

I would also prefer not to switch to another browser just to manage regular and Private Windows separately. Using separate Firefox profiles is also not a very convenient solution for this use case, as switching between profiles adds extra steps and separates the browsing environments more than necessary.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this suggestion, and for all the work you do on Firefox.
