Progressive Web apps are an important feature of a browser that Firefox is the only one missing.
For some, it can be the reason to switch to another browser.
In other cases like for the Steamdeck, it's what imposed the choice to only include Chrome in the SteamOS interface.
Other problem even for avid Firefox users, since I wanted Social apps on my pc I had to get them on the Microsoft Store which is an Edge PWA that opens every link in an Edge window, making me use this... other browser.

Firefox for Android never lost PWAs, I have been using them there for years, there could be some UX improvements, but overall they work and work well.

Naah, I don't know if you can call it PWA, when you simple add a web page in the Firefox menu to your homescreen (described in menu as adding, not installing) and there is a smaller Firefox icon besides the web page icon, no listing in the installed apps list and in the last recent app overview there is also only a Firefox icon instead of the web page icon. All of this always leads back to Firefox and is not treated as a standalone app as it should be with a PWA.

It's more like adding a shortcut, a shortcut to open a link.

@Hyourinmaru Thank you for the correction! I was under the impression that sites like Channel 4, eBay, Reddit, Letterboxd etc. were genuine PWAs working separately! In that case, disregard my previous message, and add Firefox on Android to the list.

I really dont get why the Team are prioritizing UI changes over actual functionality like that of PWA which should be a key in ANY web browser.
