Allow Sidebar AI Chatbots external API access

I have multiple GPTs in ChatGPT that need external API Access to retrieve specific information.                  (From a closed source library for example)

As of now, the closed environement of the Sidebar forbids the use of external APIs.

Is it a security measure?

Allow external APIs for Chatbots for specific actions after User confirmation.
