Translating the page is pretty nice but when toggling Reader View the translation goes away and cannot be re-enabled from there. Please add the ability to translate the page while in reader view!
When I visited https://blog.duolingo.com/duolingo-101-how-to-learn-a-language-on-duolingo/ and selected their option to view the instructions in Spanish on the website, I then turned reading view on to minimize the ads/images. However, I was disappointed the reading pane brought the English version up. It would be more user-friendly to offer a translate on the reading pane. Particularly if the page I was viewing was already in Spanish, Reading Pane should pick up on that and display it in that language, or offer the option to translate the English version to a different language.
To avoid any misunderstandings Clarification, because i've omitted this precision In the video, you don't see the star in the address bar, that's normal, i'm using a code userChrome.css #star-button-box {display:none!important;} https://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3114663
Built in translation has been a wonderful addition, but the functionality disappears when you switch to reader view. Support for both of these features simultaneously would be great!
Option to translate within “Firefox Reader View” mode
In “Firefox Reader View” mode, you can read the text on a web page more easily by adjusting various font, layout, and theme options. If the page has already been translated, the translated text will be displayed but once you're in this mode, you cannot longer do that. I suggest adding a button to translate the text within “Firefox Reader View” mode or keeping the one in the address bar active. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-reader-view-clutter-free-web-pages
