It is my understanding that the reason for no Add-Ons on Firefox for iphone is in part because of restrictions placed by Apple upon iphone apps. This can be seen in how Firefox is a fork of Safari. It is my belief that if we cannot have support for Firefox Add-Ons on IOS then compatibility with Safari Extensions would be welcome as well.

Other browsers already have extension support on iOS. Mozilla just copies and pastes an outdated support article whenever someone asks for extensions.

Addon support for iOS (iPhone) Firefox browser

^ What can we expect Firefox to have addon support for iOS version of the browser?

extension support (or better built-in tracker & ad blocking) are the things currently preventing me from using Firefox currently. I would really like to change that.

I am a Firefox  user and also a new developer on the learning track. I wonder if as developers we could look at what the top 5 or so addons are that android Firefox Mobile users use, or even data from desktop iOS users and their addon experience, and then consider incorporating those functions into a future version of the iOS mobile browser as standard features. You avoid the corporate conflict, and may bring in a new user base that will champion the browser’s use to others.
