Add a real “Add password for current website” action in Firefox, even when no login form is detected

Hi Mozilla Team,

I would like to suggest an improvement for Firefox’s built-in password manager.

Right now, Firefox does not provide a clear and direct “Add password” action for the website I am currently visiting. In practice, I only see password-saving prompts when Firefox detects a login form or password field on the page. If there is no visible login form, there is no simple built-in action in the browser UI to save a login for that current website.

At the moment, the manual workflow is not good:
- open about:logins
- choose Passwords
- manually add a new entry
- copy and paste the current website address by hand

This feels repetitive and inefficient.

What I would like:
1. A direct browser action such as “Add password for this website” in the main menu, page actions menu, or password icon area.
2. When clicked, Firefox should automatically use the current page URL and pre-fill the website address field.
3. This should work even if the page does not contain a login form or password field.
4. Firefox should allow more advanced saved-login fields, such as:
- notes
- additional custom fields
- labels or metadata
5. A more capable built-in password manager would make it easier for users to fully switch from third-party tools like Bitwarden to Firefox and keep everything in one consistent ecosystem across devices.

This would significantly improve usability for users who manually manage credentials, staging sites, admin panels, membership portals, internal tools, and websites with non-standard login flows.
