It would be nice if the local folders could also be linked in the Android app. Then you wouldn't have to boot up your laptop to move the mails to the local folders.
> This thread has wandered far from my "idea". I want Local Folders (physically local, separate from accounts) in the Android Thunderbird app, just like the desktop Thunderbird.
The original request of this idea asks for sharing of local storage between android and desktop. If your requirement is local storage without the need to share android local storage to desktop and I merged an idea you filed to this one then I apologize. The original code for Thunderbird for Android is K-9, acquired when the K-9 developer was hired by Thunderbird. K-9 has no code from Thunderbird desktop, though that may change over time. There has never been an attempt to hide either of these facts.
