please put in a simple way to disable incessant pop-ups suggesting updates- not having to make changes in programmming code

Using Firefox 143.0.4 on a Mac  with Ventura 13.7.8 64 bit
Pop-ups  incessantly asking if y ou  want to get the latest update. You seem to update extremely often.

I want to turn off the popups, without having to fiddle with the programming code.  Just an option to turn of the irritating pop-ups on one of the Preferences sections

I've never used another browser, value FF  because it's non-proprietary.; don't want to be forced to use Safari.
