I've twice now gotten the Firefox labs experiment named something like "tab tray redesign" that makes the tabs rectangles and adds a "sync" selector up the top.
I am very much not a fan. Please do not go through with it. The larger tabs mean you see less on screen for no conceivable benefit. The "sync" selector is only useful for people who are using Firefox sync, i.e. not everybody.
It might also be a good idea to make it easier for people to give feedback on something like this, like having a central post about the feature with the ability to submit comments; it's not ideal that I'm writing essentially a forum post because I can't find any obvious central location to say that an experiment isn't to my liking. What's the point of UI experiments if you don't find out if people dislike them?

I got it now. Although I'm not a fan of the new look, I could.live with it. What I can't live with is the extremely slow UI responsiveness. Some actions take 2-3 seconds. That's unacceptable. E.g. closing a tab by clocking the close button, or dismissing it by swiping it out of the screen.
