Wasted Space in Folder Pane

I am inserting a screen shot of my folder pane.  It has about an inch of wasted space to the left of the folder names.  That wasn't happening in version 102.  You might think that everyone has a wide monitor these days, but not everyone does.  The squarish 5:4 ratio monitors are still being made (businesses in particular need them) and that's what I have.

Why all the blank space on the left?

Why is there all that blank space on the left of the folder icons and names?  The blank space just means I can't see all of the folder names.  Please fix this.

Sorry, I don't know what it is you are trying to tell me.  I already have the left panel disabled.  I want to remove the white space in front of the folder icons and names.

The problem is that I don't remember it being there in version 102.  My folders were closer to the left edge than they are in this version.  Because I have a squarish monitor, horizontal space is at a premium.  There must be a setting somewhere in all the configuration files which will tighten up the left margin.

An extension developer has already suggested a solution, which I'll be trying to implement as soon as I have the time.  If it doesn't work, I'll be back.

Something just occurred to me.  I think it's possible that version 102 had a horizontal scroll bar which enabled me to scroll the folder names into the middle of the pane.  If that's the case, Mozilla should reinstate that scroll bar.

What is your density?
From your screenshot, the spacing of your list of messages seems to me spaced out

Density is at the maximum.  That is one of the first things I noticed about the new program.  Even with density at the maximum, I think there is a lot of wasted space.

Did you notice what I said above?  I now think there was a horizontal scroll bar in version 102 which allowed me to bring the folder names more into view.

Sorry, I did reply, but I replied in the wrong thread.

I was told that the developers read this forum.  If so, then I would like them to close up that space in future releases OR put in a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom so that I can close up the space myself and see my folder names better.  Thank you.

I don't think there's anything else to say.  I did get some advice form an author of extensions, and I'm going to try that.
