I have been using K9 for years, with no problems. I have read in the recent past that Mozilla purchased K9..Great news
Now I am seeing that Thunderbird is coming to Android....OK, not a problem
A few days back, on Fdroid, I get an "update" for Thunderbird beta. I do not have Thunderbird on my phone, so the "update" is rather confusing. I read the Thunderbird Fdroid page and no mention of K9.
So why not explain (like we are 5yrs old) what the heck is going on? Is K9 obsolete? Is Thunderbird the new K9? Are they both going to be available? Are there differences?
If I am missing something in this entire process, then my apologies, but I have seen nothing that clearly explains the new Thunderbird & its relationship to K9

Hey, thanks for bringing this up! This was simply a mix-up in the metadata. I have a little more info here: https://forum.f-droid.org/t/k-9-to-thunderbird-update/28973/38
The listing should be back to normal now. Maybe a good opportunity to try the real Thunderbird for Android though 🙂 https://f-droid.org/packages/net.thunderbird.android
