No one happy about an AI Firefox browser
I think it's personally a great idea. You tell everyone that you are going to be forced to use AI because you don't get enough donations to maintain the staff you need to properly function. This makes complete sense because Mozilla obviously knows that almost NO ONE who uses Firefox or related products would EVER want to have AI baked into anything we are using. If that were to happen there would be a MASS EXODUS from the company that would probably lead to a competitor product being developed by the generally tech savvy, former users of your products.
I didn't see this reasoning in any of the official statements from the company, so my idea is for your PR team to start using this rhetoric in order to drum up the donations.
"Hello,
We want to be honest with our users and say that, here at Mozilla, we are barely scraping by. We will be forced to put people on the food line and use AI if we don't significantly raise donations. Have you seen how badly we are getting whooped by Chrome? To close, open up your wallets and purses or we will be forced to make decisions that will assuredly tank our company which will force you to use Chrome. And we have a pretty good idea of how much you all hate that idea.
Regards,
Mozilla Executive"
It's that easy! I love the initiative, but as I mentioned above, it just needs a little tweaking.
Kindly,
Dave
