Transfer passwords to another browser without asking

Making moves

Other browsers can access saved passwords in Firefox. My case: When installing "Yandex browser", it transferred all saved passwords and cookies from Firefox without permission and automatically logged in to sites, even bypassing two-factor authentication. It seems to me that the Mazilla Firefox developers should store passwords more securely so that third-party applications cannot steal all passwords so easily.

Hi, you need to take an extra step to secure the local data file that stores logins. See this article:

In a perfect world, that would be enabled by default. But considering the numbers of times I've forgotten a password, I totally understand why that would be a problem for other forgetful users who have to start from scratch on building their saved logins again.
