too many updates

Please reduce the frequency of FF-updates! I get at least one per week. This is very annoying. Could you bundle several changes in just one update maybe once a month? This would be great.

The issue was posted last in January 23, I post it again as it's still or again happening.

FF 116.0.3 (64-Bit), Windows 10 22H2, last Windows updates install 21.8.23

I would like to second this comment - I'm on the verge of uninstalling Firefo because EVERY TIME I want to do something quickly I've found FF to be doing it's own thing and refusing to open until it's finished. Surely you can arrange this better!

You should check out Firefox ESR, which might be exactly what you want. The last version of ESR that released was 115, and before that, 102. They still get regular security patches, which might be a bit of a pain, but you won't see a major feature update for a while.

It's happening to ESR too. And there's no way to turn off  the reminder.

Sorry to say that, but Mozilla are not going to listen to us. They never have. And to be honest I believe Mozilla are losing control of their tech.

I am in advertising and if we can be sure of one thing, it's that not a single sentence that is told to us by Mozilla is correct. I mean, instead of having a customer service we can e-mail, Mozilla actually launched Mozilla Connect, where users help each other. We're doing Mozilla's work for them, without getting paid.

They are just not transparent. And the good old days of Mozilla are over. I am switching browsers right away. I own a company and I lack the ability to stay productive, because every time I open my browser another update "needs" to be installed. It really doesn't. Most of the stuff is just clutter anyway... That is why Mozilla aged by having a bit of a belly: it got fat, stopped working out and simply got out of shape. And now it's stuck in bed, constantly updating.
