The recently added pencil icon in the username/password dropdown is really annoying

I often find myself accidentally clicking the recently added pencil icon on the right side of the username/password dropdown. Apparently I'm a right-most clicker - who knew? 🙂

Why does this action need such prominent placement inside every saved-login row?

As far as I can tell, editing/managing saved passwords is already easily accessible through the "Manage Passwords" link immediately below the list. Meanwhile, the pencil is sitting directly inside the thing I'm actually trying to select, in exactly the place where I apparently tend to click.

So since this change appeared, I keep opening the edit function by accident instead of selecting the login.

Does anyone else find this annoying?

Yes, I hate this. I accidental click on it daily. It is completely unnecessary and far too prominent, especially since the majority of the population is right handed. I think a left handed developer made this out of spite. I don't even see anything in about:config to turn this off.
