Hey all,

Exciting news…

The tab strip feature for Firefox Android (tablets) has landed in Firefox Nightly 🎉

This has been a popular idea here on Connect—see this thread—and also requested often in app store reviews and on our support site.

So a big thank you for sharing your feedback, which played an important role in getting the work prioritized. And speaking of feedback…

We would love to hear your thoughts on the feature. If you have a tablet, download Nightly and check it out.

Yeah, I remember the tab bar showing up at certain scaling values before too. That’s actually why I went with a lighter UI layout as well—it kept things cleaner and avoided the extra bar. Having an easy way to toggle it off would definitely make the experience smoother for everyone.

Thanks for the update, Jon! Really excited to see the tab strip finally coming to Firefox Android. It’s a feature many of us have been waiting for. I’ll try it out on Nightly and share my feedback soon. Appreciate the team for listening to the community!

FYI - It's on stable now. Go to Customize section. I've had it for months. It doesn't look the prettiest on Pixel devices however with the status bar being the wrong color.

This is great news! A tab strip on Firefox for Android tablets makes a lot of sense, especially for users who multitask or switch frequently between pages. It’s encouraging to see how community feedback on Connect and app store reviews actually helped prioritize this feature—that kind of user-driven development really improves the overall experience.

From a gaming perspective, improvements like this are especially useful. When playing or exploring games like Geometry Dash, users often keep multiple tabs open at once—for guides, level tutorials, or downloads—so better tab management on tablets can make things much smoother. I often switch between gameplay tips and resources like the Geometry Dash Lite version, and having an efficient tab strip would definitely help with that. For example, resources such as this Geometry Dash Lite APK page  are much easier to navigate when multitasking works well.

Looking forward to testing this feature on Nightly and sharing feedback—nice work by the Firefox team!
