Can't work out why i'm getting this message

"sorry, you can't give kudos to this post"

when i click on the thumbs up sign.

I'm having the same issue - but for some reason, I WAS able to give YOUR post a kudos. I've searched, but cannot find any explanation as to why this is happening.
