Hi everyone,
I’ve been thinking about how browsers handle notifications and alerts. Right now, they’re pretty standardized, but wouldn’t it be interesting if Firefox allowed more personalization—like choosing different sounds or styles, maybe even something fun like a klingeltone option for specific sites or apps?
Do you think this kind of customization would enhance the browsing experience, or should Firefox stick to a simpler, uniform approach?

notifications should be standardized ... at most firefox could add "hints" for the system to use or ignore.

This is a really fun idea to explore! I haven't thought about personalization for Firefox notifications before, but it's a very interesting idea. I did recently write this post about how notifications for Firefox Android couple be improved and issues I've been running into. Might be some crossover between our posts? 🤷♂️
