Mozilla state about Firefox as follows:
‘Your browsing history is history
If you want, you can easily select to go online and search in private browsing mode. And when you close private browsing mode, your browsing history and any cookies are automatically erased from your device.’
Observation shows:
Firefox 111.1 (29672) - IOS 15.7.3
Choose private browsing mode (1 tab), go to us.cnn.com. Settings & Data Management show website data ‘cnn.com’. Leave settings, close the single private tab. Website data still ‘cnn.com’. Leave and close firefox altogether and open it again, Data Management is still website data ‘cnn.com’. Why not empty?
In another trial, website data shows two additional domains in addition to ‘cnn.com’ out of the blue, why this?
