In FF 140 Nightly I have vertical tabs activated. When I pin more than one tab, only the first one remains visible, the others disappear and a tiny scroll bar appears for the pinned tabs in the vertical tab bar. I could manually move the divider line under the pinned tabs, but this does not stick when I close and re-open FF. This cannot be the desired behaviour of the browser, can it? Thank you for your help.

As a temporary workaround, you might consider adjusting the size of the vertical tab sidebar to ensure all pinned tabs are visible. However, this adjustment may not persist across sessions. Alternatively, you can monitor the progress of Bug 1954692 for updates on a permanent fix.

This behavior has been acknowledged in Mozilla's bug tracking system. The issue, identified as Bug 1954990, notes that multiple pinned tabs in vertical mode can lead to a reduced or hidden normal tabs area. A fix was implemented and verified in Firefox versions 138 and 139 . However, it seems that similar or new issues have emerged in version 140, particularly when the "Enable sidebar on hover" feature is activated.
One thing u can do is disabling the "Enable sidebar on hover" option in the sidebar settings. This can help maintain the visibility of pinned tabs without the scrollbar jumping behavior.

Thanks, tate, for your reply. However, "Enable sidebar on hover" is not and has not been enabled. I attach a screenshot of my vertical sidebar. Notice the tiny scroll bar to the right of the attached Gmail tab. There are actually two pinned tabs, but only the first one is visible. I'd have to scroll down to see the second one.

Thank you for your suggestion. You are right, though, it does not persist across sessions. I hope the bug will be fixed soon.

Same for me. Pinned tabs should wrap when you adjust the sidebar size. But now they don't wrap at all and the ones on the end disappear when the sidebar is adjusted.
