E.g. if a document has pages i-ix then you page numbers at the top of the screen are off by 9. If you enter these in the print dialog you will get the wrong pages. I would recommend keeping the actual page number in this location and putting the more loosely-defined page number which can include numerals and "Front cover" in a different field.
