Despite posts saying this problem was fixed in v. 115.3.1, it is still an issue in 115.4.2. The parent folder will indicate unread messages in color, BUT, if there are new messages in child folders, it is displayed in dark gray. This is a real PIA to deal with. Here's hoping help is on the way.
