This is the only request of this that I can find, maybe any that had too many kudos were deleted? Because I do not, nor can I, believe that on a site where there are dozens of requests about changing the size of icons on this overlay that have 100 kudos, that this is the only person complaining about the lack of a real new tab altogether, and that I'm the first person to give it a kudos.
Firefox on Android at the moment has neither a new tab nor zero tab, when you try to open new tab or use the address bar on a tab you would like to stay on respectively. Instead, there is a tab-limbo that doesn't actually exist, and yet completely hides the tab you are on even if you don't try to open it. This has transformed new tab from a positive and necessary feature, to a tiny tool of torture in my web browser. I now get punished any and every time I need to use the browser's interface in any way. Dear Firefox, please bring us back, or give us a new, new tab that actually exists and at the very bare minimum get rid of this horrible, horrible overlay. Please, please, please, please I'm begging you!
