Hey all,
Happy February and welcome to another edition of our Monthly Recap—not to be confused with our Weekly Recap (which we publish every Friday).
This post will highlight the top 15 most-voted ideas for the previous month. While some are ‘new ideas’ and others may already be ‘in development’ (learn more about The Idea Journey here), we encourage you to continue voting and sharing your feedback—the more details, the better. Our teams are regularly looking at ideas and threads here as they plan and prioritize future roadmaps.
Without further ado, here they are…
Put the AI stuff into an optional add-on
Synced WORK SPACES (or Synced Tab Groups)
Calendar support on Thunderbird mobile
Thunderbird Recent Destinations List should be alphabetical
Bring back PWA (progressive web apps)
Add Startpage private search as option
Ability to edit context menus, remove unnecessary options
A configurable memory saver like those in Chromium-based browsers.
Regular expressions in "Find in page"
Multi-Account Containers for Android
Please split "Sites you save and visit" into two options: "Sites you save" and "Sites you visit"
And that's it for the month of January.

I would really like to see Multi-Account Containers for Android added.

I'm glad to see the community is telling Mozilla to remove AI from Firefox. Not an unreliable kill switch... a total deletion.
Is Mozilla paying attention to the community? Ring isn't community-led, but even they have responded to criticism with the same energy ad Mozilla.

I concur, I want complete AI removal. As it is I'm looking for a replacement to Firefox now that they've proven they cannot be trusted.

Great roundup! The variety of ideas here really shows how engaged the community is — especially around privacy, customization, and performance improvements.
Personally, features like optional AI add-ons, private search engine options (like Startpage), and better container/multi-account controls stand out. Giving users more control over how their data is handled and how their workspace is organized is always a win.
It’s also encouraging to see requests around performance (memory saver, JPEG XL support) alongside usability tweaks like customizable hotkeys and improved context menus. Small refinements often make a huge difference in daily workflows.
If anyone here is passionate about building more privacy-focused and community-driven tech ecosystems, it’s worth looking at initiatives like https://barakahinkindness.org.uk/ that promote digital responsibility and ethical engagement. Supporting values-driven projects alongside product feedback helps shape a healthier online environment overall.
Looking forward to seeing which of these ideas move into development next month!
