I would love to suggest a different name for the new mascot: Milo.
While "Kit" has a biological meaning, "Milo" feels much more human, warm, and empathetic for a browser focused on protecting people.
It isn't a lazy abbreviation like "Mozzie", but it still keeps a subtle connection to the brand's DNA using the core letters of Mozilla. It sounds friendly and gives the mascot a real, independent personality.
