Making it harder to Close All Tabs

The most recent Firefox update has completely changed the layout of the Tabs screen. Whereas previously, if I wanted to close all tabs, I would tap the "tab count" box, which would open the Tabs screen - that still works as it should.

But now the "three dot" menu - where the Close All Tabs (and all other tab manipulation functions) resides - as well as the New tab button, has been moved to the bottom of the screen. This requires the user to move from the very top of the screen to the very bottom, a significant waste of motion.

Who thought this was a good idea? I don't think I've EVER seen such a menu, in any app, anywhere but at the top of the screen, where it's easily right in the same area as most other screen functions.

Please consider moving this menu back to the top, or even make it's position adjustable by the user.

I'd be very interested in hearing the reason(s) for this change, as well as other users' thoughts on this.

Thanks.

it's really annoying .how this is any improvement and when people get used to something they change it .update doesn't mean you have to shuffle things without real improvement .

It looks like Firefox has never heard the saying, "If it isn't broke, don't fix it." I've been using Firefox for years and have seriously given thought to changing browsers due to the "way too often" updates and backwards thinking changes. This last update, 157.0, may have done it for me. This new Tabs change is pathetic.

Absolutely, atrocious garbage. Who even approves this slop?

The Tab Grouping is legit awful, theming I never wanted, It's just a wreck! Every way I've ever interacted with the browser has changed for literally, no apparent reason, and been made worse! I'll just go to LibreWolf at this point. Congratulations Firefox, you convinced me!

As someone using the bottom navigation bar, since that's where my thumbs usually are when operating a smartphone, I've been hoping for years that the tab overview would finally also get updated so that I don't have to tap stuff on the opposite side of the screen. I was happy about this change, because at least a few features are now reachable without having to regrab the phone.

Reading here that they didn't just do that for users who use the bottom navigation bar, but replaced the default for everyone... Why would you do that. There's no way to please both user groups with just one UI. One group wants everything to be at the top and the other wants everything to be at the bottom. I don't think it's too far fetched to say that the optimal solution would be to make everything reachable depending on where a user sets their navigation bar.
