Issues with session restore, unexpected new windows, and missing "Restore Previous Session" menu option
I would like to report a few issues and inconsistencies I've been experiencing with session restore and window management in Firefox:
The Issue: When I close a window and reopen Firefox, my previously opened tabs do not automatically restore. Currently, I have to rely on third-party extensions to achieve this functionality, which proves that the browser is technically capable of restoring tabs upon reopening.
Secondary Behavior: Additionally, even though I have explicitly enabled the option to open new tabs in the current/same window, Firefox still opens tabs in a completely new window when attempting to restore tabs or reopen links under this situation.
The Issue: While checking my History menu, I noticed I only see the following options:
Recently closed tabs
Recently closed windows
Clear recent history...
The Problem: According to official Firefox documentation and support guides, there should be a "Restore Previous Session" option listed here. However, this option is completely missing from my History menu, and I am unsure what is causing it to disappear.
Settings: I have verified that my settings are configured to open tabs in the same window.
Extensions: I am currently using session-management extensions as a workaround for the tab restoration issue.
Could you please help clarify why the "Restore Previous Session" option might be missing and how to resolve these window/tab restoration behaviors?
Thank you for your help and continuous support!
my solution is Tab Session Manager for now, but please make it simple. AND This restore previous session is missing while the supporting page is still showing.
BTW, mobile firefox should let us upload homepage background, please.
