IOS New Update

I have been using Firefox forever it seems. This is the first time I really hate an update. There are two aspects to the new update that I disdain. In my opinion they are major issues.

1. Before the new update the settings tab was the button on the far right and to the left of it was the tabs button. After the new update they have swapped places where the tabs button is on the far right and the settings button is on the left. This change doesn't make any sense and makes it less functional to use.
2. Before the new update the settings button would open a scroll down menu bar on the right of the screen. After the update it now opens its own tab. This doesn't make sense as it is unnecessary for a tab to open just for the settings. It was more functional before.

Unfortunately, with the new update it doesn't give users who don't like these changes to alter or revert them to the look of the previous version. I understand someone thought it would be a good change and they liked it which is fine. However, not everyone will like that and not giving the ability to change them to the old look is a major issue and oversight. I would suggest wither fully reverting those two changes back to the old look or giving users the ability to change them to the old look. If you give users that ability you might find a lot of people don't like the new layout of those two things.

I was honestly shocked when i saw the new design. Settings are ALWAYS on the far left side or the far right side of any screen, that is such a basic design element to any os I can't believe they though it was a good idea to mess with it. And I fully agree with the horizontal settings menu, it takes up less space but it's also less functional! Change for the sake of change is not a positive thing, and it is not appreciated. I genuinely thought this was a prank or something. Put things back or let us chose if we want the normal layout or to live in some crazy world where up is down and wet is dry.

Complained about this exact issue over on Mozilla Support and was told I should vote on this thread. I have no clue why they bungled the design on this update so badly.

The new update also hides the full URL to only show the domain name unless you tap on the address bar. Please make this an option to let users decide what they want to see.
Some months ago, Mozilla also made a similar change to no longer show the full address when long pressing a hyperlink, you can only see the domain name. This is an inferior experience because, for example, a user could tell just which news article is being linked by seeing the full URL instead of just the name of the newspaper. Please also make an option to revert this change.

I have also been having the worst time with this update on all devices, especially on iOS since I had to completely reinstall the app to get it to launch after the 143.1 update. Not only have the menu/settings UIs changed and are harder to read, I just don’t even have an address bar anymore. At least let us have the option to keep the UI as it was.
