how do i get rid of bbc in my search drop down and who put it there?

in my search drop down bbc is always there i do not like them or their services ,how do i get rid of this embedded crap and why did you put it there

This is hard to answer without knowing more about which drop down and what the result looks like. If you can attach an image, that might help.

Generally though, you can remove items you don't want by highlighting them and pressing shift-delete. Alternately, sometimes there's a three dot menu that appears to the end which also has a remove or don't show again option.
