When trying to load 'Weather.com' (weather channel) and more recently trying to load Google Search, the screen suddenly posted a warning that my computer was locked. I was able to quit Firefox Browser. I have un-installed (deleted) the browser and associated folders (Firefox, Mozilla).
I don't have any explanation for this piracy. I have a new, 24-inch iMac (M1) running macOS 13.4.1 (Ventura). I have Intego software installed and working. I don't know if the problem is the Weather Channel or the browser.
