Organization of bookmarks is a FUNDAMENTAL FUNCTION of any browser.
RECOMMENDATION:
Firefox needs to implement a bookmark folder structure that allows us to easily SEE where our bookmarks are, and then drag and drop them to a new folder to organize them. Chrome has a GREAT solution. This is such a big issue for me that I may shift to Chrome. In Chrome you can do a search, find ALL of the bookmarks with one search term, find where they are located, and drag and drop them into their new folder. Easy-Peasy!
There are many recommended solutions in FireFox Forums, but none will do the job easily or securely. Three that I have seen offered are below:
BOOKMARK SEARCH PLUS 2 is recommended:
I looked at the Bookmark Search Plus 2. It allows passwords and user names to be read and is is NOT a extension that has been checked for security issues by FireFox programmers. See attached screenshot.
FIND THE BOOKMARK BY SEARCH & CLICK ON THE STAR AND EDIT THE BOOKMARK:
This shows where the bookmark is, but it does not allow us to easily move that bookmark to another folder. TOO KLUDGY!
EXPORT TO FILE AND FIND IT THERE:
This would require export each time we update the bookmarks AND other users have reported it does not ident the bookmarks under the folders. PLUS we are back to NOT being able to easily drag drop the bookmarks for organizational purposes within FireFox. TOO KLUDGY!
