firefox password manager is NOT saving the full and complete website addresses in their entirety for firefox's own password saver. Such incomplete web addresses of password being saved results in "404" page errors, lost logins and passwords, and unnecessary password changes overwrites previously stored legitimate saved login info causing unnecessary conflicts. Multiple fixes are needed with your firefox password manager so that it saves the full, complete, and ENTIRE web address instead of a shortened abbreviation of just the basic root address for every login web address that s saved. Saving the full and complete web addresses are highly critical for banking and credit card websites as banking sites use similar root addresses for multiple businesses where each variation of their expanded address lines includes strict access to each of the various and different business components that the root address supports. A few examples for these banks (Citi, Chase, Barclays, and Synchrony) who provide and back multiple credit cards for multiple companies and storefronts (Costcos, BJs, Best Buy, Target, TJX, Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, PayPal, & Old Navy to name but a few) where the different storefronts are either annotated before the root websites base address (syf.com, Citi.com, citiretailservices.citibankonline.com) or after the root websites base address located deep, far, and well down into near the end of an extremely lengthy site address. This is how and where each web address variant has its own different and specific login for each store that the bank's website supports. This also results in multiple blocks to passwords from being saved by your "Firefox passwords" "extension" as "Firefox passwords" WON'T allow multiple passwords to be saved to what your "Firefox passwords" function sees as the "same" "Website address" when the websites full web address actually provides access to different companies. 1. needs to save FULL & COMPLETE site addresses as the "Website address" in "Firefox passwords" manager. 2. Allow multiples of "similar" "Website address" to be stored in "Firefox passwords" manager as separate individual logins. 3. Add a new entry category into "Firefox passwords" to allow a "name" or give a "login title" to any save passwords that helps avoid confusion with similarities of individual logins so your "Firefox passwords" manager doesn't block, doesn't prevent, or doesn't overwrite previously saved login information.

Access Firefox’s Configuration Menu: Open Firefox and type about:config in the address bar. Press Enter and accept the warning message.
Search for Password-Related Preferences: In the search bar, type signon to filter settings related to Firefox’s built-in password manager.
Modify signon.storeWhenAutocompleteOff: Ensure this setting is set to true so that Firefox saves credentials even for websites that disable autocomplete.
Check signon.includeOtherSubdomainsInLookup: If set to true, Firefox treats subdomains as the same domain. Set it to false so it saves separate logins for different subdomains.
Disable network.cookie.cookieBehavior: If set to 1 or 2, it might block certain site features. Change it to 0 or 3 to allow full URL tracking for logins.
Use an Extension for Better URL Storage: Install an add-on like "Saved Password Editor" to manually enter and store full URLs along with passwords.
Enable "Ask to Save Passwords" in the Menu: Click on the Firefox menu (☰ icon), go to Settings > Privacy & Security, and ensure "Ask to save passwords" is enabled.
Manually Edit Saved Logins: Open about:logins, locate an entry like menu, and modify the URL to include the full address instead of just the domain.
Use a Custom User Script: You can create a Firefox user script using Tampermonkey or Greasemonkey to force the password manager to save full URLs.
Sync Settings Across Devices Properly: If you use Firefox Sync, check that your logins & passwords option is turned on and that changes are reflecting across devices.
Clear Cache and Restart Firefox: Sometimes, Firefox might not recognize new settings immediately. Clear your cache (Ctrl + Shift + Del) and restart the browser.
Check for Conflicting Extensions: Some security or password-related extensions might be interfering with Firefox’s password manager. Disable them and check if full URLs are being stored.
Use a Custom Profile if Needed: If changes aren’t saving, create a new Firefox profile (about:profiles), switch to it, and try the settings again.
Consider an Alternative Password Manager: If Firefox's default password manager doesn’t meet your needs, consider using Bitwarden, LastPass, or 1Password, which store full URLs by default.
Regularly Back Up Your Passwords: Since modifying these settings can sometimes reset stored passwords, export your saved logins from about:logins as a backup before making changes.
This should ensure that Firefox saves full web addresses instead of just the root domain, improving login accuracy across different websites and subdomains! 🚀
