Making moves

Hi,

I'm trying to reach the admin webpage of the internal switch at 192.168.1.20, but Firefox wont let me! This is horrific! I'm boss of my network, and everything else, but Firefox just stands wrongfully in the way saying it's mpt secure and thus does not proceed. This is not how it is meant to be!

Please help me bypass this.

Stef

@stef : enter about:preferences#connectionSecurity in the URL bar, then press ENTER

It's likely set to "Enable HTTPS-Only Mode in all windows", and the link between your local switch or router and Firefox is insecure (HTTP only), so you'll see a warning screen.  But you can usually bypass that by simply clicking the "Continue to HTTP Site" button (for example, http://httpforever.com works as a test).

Alternatively, on the about:preferences#connectionSecurity page, click "Manage Exceptions...", then type in 192.168.1.20 then click the Turn Off button to add it to the list, then click the Save Changes button.  Then Firefox should not ask you again when you visit that address if you wish to proceed
